Certified Pool Operator Course
If you are looking to be certified as a Certified Pool-Spa Operator® through the National Swimming Pool Foundation, you have come to the right place. There are two ways in which to get your CPO® certification, either the traditional course or our blended course.
Cost: $250
The traditional two day in-class course is a good fit for those who desire to have continuous feedback from an instructor. This type of instruction will also allow for more ongoing interaction with other participants who might have more practical experience with the day to day operation of a swimming pool.

The blended format course is designed to provide an alternative to those who might benefit from this kind of instruction. This process can be completed in 2 steps:
Step 1: Primer
This phase offers the first day of the regular CPO® to be done online at your convenience. The online curriculum takes you through the 18 chapters in the handbook. Successful completion earns you a personalized Pool Operator PrimerTM Record of Completion, which will be given to the instructor in the next step, then Fusion Course. You will be sent the Certified Pool Operator® Handbook and an access code, for which you would then use to complete this step online.
Step 2: Fusion Course
This is next and final step of the blended option of the CPO® Certification. This is a one-day class (and is the second day of the traditional two-day class that are scheduled). You will just need to present the instructor with the Pool Operator PrimerTM Record of Completion that you obtained from the Primer in Step 1 above. Once the Pool Operator FusionTM course is completed, you will earn the CPO® Certification.

You should ask yourself the following questions in determining the best instructional method that is right for you:
- Would I benefit from a continuous contact with an instructor?
- Am I a person who can learn independently and be self-motivated?
- Can my company afford to have me away from work for two or more days?
- Do I have enough practical experience to fully understand the handbook and on-line presentation?
- Am I comfortable enough with my computer to take advantage of on-line instruction?
